For the past 30 years I have specialized in the sale of architect-designed houses. I believe that these homes are worth substantially more than their ordinary counterparts. Often, these houses are considered works of art and have a true collector value. These homes call for a special approach to marketing that goes far beyond the norm.
I am extremely grateful for the success I have had in marketing architectural houses. I founded the Architectural Division of Coldwell Banker and we continue to sell more architect-designed houses than any other firm in Southern California.
I have sold architectural houses designed by a virtual Who’s Who in the world of architecture, including F.Lloyd Wright Jr., John Lautner, Richard Neutra, Buff & Hensman, Craig Ellwood, Wallace Neff, Paul Williams, Quincy Jones, Charles Eames, Eero Saarinen, Ray Kappe, Marshall Lewis, Peter Choate, Edward Fickett, Gregory Ain, Gordon Kaufman, Brian Murphy, John Byers, Phillip Brown, Douglas Briedenback Gerard Colcord, Richard Dorman, David Kellen, John Kilbane, Stan Pollock, and Frederick Fisher to name a few.
I am a member of the California 100, President’s Circle, and the Coldwell Banker President’s Elite. I have had the rare honor of having sold one of the world-famous Case Study Houses (Case Study House #9, the Entenza house-designed by Charles Eames and Eero Saarinen), together with the Johnson house designed by Lloyd Wright, the Rainbow house designed by John Lautner, and the Sandler house by Buff and Hensman.
I have been featured as a guest speaker at the Museum of Architecture, the Museum of Modern Art in La Jolla, the Prada Museum and the New School of Architecture in San Diego. I have been featured in Dwell magazine, Newsweek, Wall Street Journal, Forbes, The Robb Report, Who’s Who In America, Coast magazine, San Diego Business Journal, Los Angeles Business Journal, Variety, Hollywood Reporter, and the Los Angeles Times. I am also an affiliate member of the American Institute of Architects, Los Angeles Chapter. I have written several monographs including “Your Architectural House is Worth More” and “Smart Houses” as well as serving as a guest writer for the San Diego Business Journal. I am a member of the Board of Directors of the Museum of Architecture and Design.
